MLK DAY

Yes, I dare to take on Martin Luther King Day, but before you tune me out as a racist, consider the following.
In 1983, President Reagan signed an executive which later became federal law, enacting the third monday of January as Martin Luther King day, beginning in 1986.
While no other individual is granted the status of offording

Random Thoughts 11105

Happy New Year...

***Well the 'Whitewash' report on the Rathergate scandal has come out and as expected told us exactly what we expected. 1) Dan Rather was not involved. 2) No bias was found against Pres. Bush. 3) Three executives were overzealous, not acting partisan.

***In the Middle East, three elections have been held or soon will be held. One by isreal in occupied territories for the Palestinians. One in Afghanistan after an occupation by teh US to free them from the Taliban. Finally one will be in Iraq after an occupation by the US. So the US fostered two elections in the region while Isreal allowed one in the Occupied Territories----hmm! now who are the bad guys...you would figure we are the bad guys if you listen or read mainstream media---so don't

***What was left out of the Rathergate report is simple. Rather used bias to ignore exculpatory information and powered by this bias, stood by while events proved him and his producers wrong. The hatred of BUSH, fueled a desire to ignore the truth and pursue a story that could potentially "change the momentum of an election".

***Hollywood and Professional sports are nothing to look up to as a hero for young people. Fortunately that also goes as political commentators...by a resounding margin they voted for Kerry...they voted for France and well you get it...they were wrong!

***The Ed Dept and Page were wrong to pay 241K to Armstrong Williams and Armstrong was foolish to take it. Irrespective of the fact it was harmless it certainly has the appearence of a skunk.
